 Activities The following unguided activities are available to guests at the camp. We invite you to participate in the following activities listed below that have become staples of Redoubt Bay Fish Camp. River Fishing - Red (Sockeye) and Silver (Coho) salmon flourish in the river near the cabins. Enjoy the challenge of hooking a Red and the thrill of the renowned fighting Silver. Pink salmon and Dolly Varden trout also frequent the river.
Commercial Fishing - Observation of set-net commercial fishing is available to guests on most Mondays and Thursdays. Salmon can be purchased directly from the commercial catch if desired by guests. Wildlife Viewing - Beauty abounds in this remote area. Wildlife that can be viewed include eagles, seals, shore and sea birds, brown and black bears, and occasionally Beluga whales Clam Digging - A mile walk to the clam beds that feature delicious razor and redneck clams. This experience is available on specific days when tides are low. Ask your hosts for details. Hiking - Our wide open wilderness allows the hiking enthusiast a variety of terrain to explore. Whether you enjoy hiking beaches and tidal pools or the lush wilderness of the region, you'll see sights that will renew your love of nature. Berry Picking - Blueberries, salmonberries, raspberries, current berries, and watermelon berries are easy picking at the right time of the summer. Additional Activities - you can enjoy are beach volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, flying kites, hiking, beachcombing, tidal pool exploring, and a wood-fired hot tub. |
